Fashion magnate John Robinson, who utilized Kate Middleton before she wed Prince William, has won a three-year battle to host wedding events at his Cotswolds estate.

But, after a nine-day public query, Robinson, 77, has actually been granted approval to continue hosting events on the sprawling 450-acre estate, where Poldark star Eleanor Tomlinson exchanged pledges with rugby gamer Will Owen.

'Euridge Manor Weddings is thrilled at the grant of planning consent,' a representative says.

When Robinson purchased Euridge Manor Farm in 1980, it covered 200 acres, with a five-bedroom farmhouse, sheds and three homes. But the magnate extended the estate, buying 250 acres of surrounding land, and developing an orangery with two bed rooms and an indoor pool.

He married now ex-wife Belle at Euridge in 2004. After their divorce in 2014, Robinson signed up business Euridge Manor Weddings Incorporated and began hosting events.

Neighbours complained about traffic, music and firework display screens lasting into the small hours and stated the estate did not have consent for 'change of use' in order to host wedding events.
